Icecream Girl Painted

Anne Hober who is behind the designe of Icecream Girl,  wanted to have the sculpture painted. I had just bought some nice acrylics she could borrow, so one sunny afternoon she joined me in my workshop for fun and frustration with paint :D

I think she did exceptionally well for a first time marquette painter. She hit the mood just right. It just adds a lot to most sculptures when someone takes the time to apply a few layers of paint.

Icecream Girl

So here is the finished result. It stands approx. 15 cm tall and took 18 hours to do, but the sprinkles were complimentary :)

Here is the initial concept:

I wanted to make the base from a real piece of pottery so she could have it standing at her desk while she is concentrating on her animation work :)
